Our last full day here. It’s been a blast.
Another lazy day, sitting by the pool, combined with packing for the next leg of our journey northward to Chiang Mai.
It was probably the hottest day of our stay here so far, so finding a shady enough spot was always going to be tricky. We managed it (sort of) with the help of the ever-willing pool attendants.
At about 3 p.m, a lady came over and offered us their properly shady spot, as they were just leaving. She had obviously noted our plight, so this was a gesture very much appreciated. And indeed, it was a very nice area (very close to the pool bar, as it happened….)
I’d booked our final meal at the Rock Salt once again. I know, living life on the edge, and all that. Time passed pleasantly, but for the second time, it started to rain heavily. This time, we weren’t dripped on and it eased very quickly.
We are due to be picked up at 6 a.m. for the trip to Phuket airport. Horrors. So it’s an early night for us.
We fly to Bangkok, then onward to Chiang Mai. Hopefully this will go smoothly, but join us tomorrow to see how it went.
